Join Amazon MGM Studios at a pivotal moment in our theatrical journey as a Senior Research Ops Manager within our Worldwide Consumer Insights Film team. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a growing studio that is rapidly expanding its theatrical presence in the entertainment industry. Amazon MGM Studios is seeking an experienced Senior Research Operations professional to lead and manage high-profile research screening events across both streaming and theatrical film releases. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to coordinate complex research operations across multiple markets, including US and international territories. Required Qualifications • Experience in research operations, film production operations, or entertainment industry event management • Proven track record managing large-scale, high-profile screening events for major film releases • Extensive experience coordinating with post-production teams and creative stakeholders • Demonstrated ability to manage complex timelines and multiple concurrent projects • Experience with international event coordination and cross-cultural operations • Exceptional organizational and project management skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with talent and executives • Proficiency in creating detailed event specifications and research materials • Experience with security protocols and confidential content management • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required for screenings • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed Key job responsibilities Research Screening Event Management -Plan, organize, and execute high-profile research screening events for streaming and theatrical films -Coordinate with post-production teams and creative stakeholders to establish screening timelines -Manage all aspects of theater bookings, including venue selection, contract negotiation, and technical requirements coordination -Oversee events in both domestic (US) and international markets, adapting to regional requirements and cultural considerations -Create spec memos and questionnaires for each screening event, ensuring all documentation receives studio and filmmaker approval Stakeholder & Talent Management -Serve as primary liaison between research teams, creative stakeholders, post-production teams, and executive leadership -Manage VIP guest lists -Handle talent onsite Security & Logistics Operations -Oversee comprehensive security management for all screening events -Ensure flawless day-of logistics execution with the ability to problem solve in real time Cross-Functional Coordination -Collaborate with marketing, distribution, and content teams to align research objectives with business goals -Partner with international teams to execute screenings across global markets -Work with research team to ensure proper data collection, reporting, and debrief coordination Operational Excellence -Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for in-person and online screenings -Implement scalable systems and tools to optimize workflows -Lead development of emerging testing methodologies Basic Qualifications - Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs - Experience communicating results to senior leadership - Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements - Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data - 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience Preferred Qualifications - Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights - Experience with Salesforce and Tableau Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $112,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $186,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
