Leveraging and developing new technologies to drive 3M adhesion science.
Collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop innovative adhesive solutions.
Applying knowledge of chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or material science to solve complex problems.

Collaborating with global, multi-disciplinary teams to identify and implement new solutions toward customer applications.
Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
PhD degree (completed and verified prior to start) in a science or engineering discipline
Three (3) years of experience in laboratory research in a private, public, government or military environment. This can include experience earned through a PhD program
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
PhD or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, material science, or related field from an accredited institution
Experience in synthetic processes to generate and / or manipulate polymeric materials.
Experience either direct or through collaborations utilizing modeling and simulation tools to understand and / or predict polymeric material properties.
Self-motivation to identify and execute on new technology development
Results driven and self-motivated, with a growth mindset.
Experience developing intellectual property portfolios in collaboration with legal and other technical experts.
