Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Remote)
Why This Role Matters Now We’re hiring our second Senior QA Engineer to build the QA function from the ground up, own the testing pyramid, and ensure our AI-first accounting platform is reliable at scale. This is a unique chance to shape QA at a venture-backed startup, working closely with founders and engineers to ship high-quality product at high velocity. About DualEntry Founded in 2024, DualEntry is one of NYC’s fastest-growing AI startups, backed by top-tier VCs and 30+ unicorn founders. Our team previously built a $100M ARR business from scratch, scaled it to 300+ people, and led a successful exit. Now, we’re building a category-defining SaaS product to automate and modernize enterprise accounting — one of the most painful and outdated workflows in finance. We move fast, build with precision, and care deeply about what we ship. Location: Remote-first. Preference for European time zones with overlap to US working hours. Where You’ll Create Impact • Establish and lead QA practices for a new AI-first SaaS platform • Design and execute test strategies across UI, API, and integrations • Build and maintain test case management and reporting systems • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure quality at every stage • Own bug reporting, triage, and release validation • Lay the foundation for future automated QA testing and CI/CD integration • Champion user empathy and customer feedback to drive product reliability How You’ll Work You’ll collaborate with: • Founders, to align on vision and quality standards • Backend & Frontend Engineering, to integrate QA into the development process • Product, to ensure clarity of requirements and testability You’ll operate with ownership: ship fast, think critically about tradeoffs, and push for pragmatic solutions. What Sets You Up for Success • 4+ years of experience in Software QA, focused on SaaS/web applications • Experience with UI and API testing at scale • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) • Strong grasp of bug reporting (Jira), test management (TestRail), and tools like Selenium/Cypress • Knowledge of performance testing, database testing, and monitoring (Datadog a plus) • Product intuition and user empathy, with critical thinking on testability • Excellent English communication (C1 level) • Ability to work hard (we work most weekends), move fast, and thrive in high-velocity environments Nice to have: • Programming experience in any language • Familiarity with React or modern frontend frameworks • SQL and relational database experience (e.g., PostgreSQL) • Prior SaaS product QA experience Why You’ll Thrive Here • You’ll be the second QA hire, building the function from the ground up • You’ll work directly with experienced founders who’ve scaled before • You’ll ship fast, with autonomy and responsibility from day one • You’ll have equity ownership in a venture-backed AI SaaS company Compensation & Benefits • Base salary: $50K–$85K USD • Equity: $25K+ USD • Option for B2B or full-time permanent position • Remote-first setup • 15 PTO days + 12 public holidays • High-trust, high-ownership team culture We currently have one remaining seat for a Senior QA Engineer.
