Senior QA Engineer

Contract: Freelance Schedule: 1:00PM - 10:00PM (PHT) Mon-Fri Mission set up : Fully remote from Philippines to work on UAE time zone. Mission duration : 2-3 weeks (extendable) Experience required : 5 years and above. Experience in accounting or Odoo is a plus. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in manual testing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in QA , with a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to own the testing process end-to-end. Experience with Odoo and a good understanding of accounting principles will be considered a significant plus. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for web and enterprise applications Perform manual testing to ensure product quality and performance Identify, document, and track bugs using appropriate tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, etc.) Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues Conduct regression, integration, system, and UAT testing Continuously improve testing processes and propose enhancements to QA standards Contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and review meetings Requirements Minimum of 5 years of hands-on QA experience , primarily in manual testing Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes Experience testing web-based applications and enterprise systems Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies Good to have: experience with Odoo ERP Bonus: familiarity with accounting concepts or finance workflows Nice to Have Experience in API testing Familiarity with test automation tools (even if not the core focus) Knowledge of databases and basic SQL queries ISTQB certification or similar is a plus Originally posted on Himalayas
