(Senior) Project Manager

Join us and help shape the future through innovative project delivery! Quartz is seeking two talented professionals to join our Project Management Team as (Senior) Project Managers. This role will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic projects—ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Our approach leverages hybrid delivery methods, combining the flexibility of Agile with the structure of traditional frameworks like Waterfall. This means the (Senior) Project Manager will tailor methodologies to fit project needs, balancing iterative development with clear milestones and governance. A (Senior) Project Manager will: • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to design and implement projects aligned with organizational priorities. • Organize and lead cross-functional teams, fostering communication and accountability to achieve project objectives. • Monitor progress, manage resources, and mitigate risks to ensure successful outcomes. Benefits: • Opportunity to lead and manage project-oriented teams and work groups. • Opportunity to guide the organization to an Agile mindset while utilizing Agile methodologies. • Starting salary range based upon experience for Project Manager level: $77,200 - $96,500 plus robust benefits package. • Starting salary range based upon experience for Senior Project Manager level: $91,100 - $113,900 plus robust benefits package. • Manage multiple projects of varying complexities, including those with complex resource interdependencies. • Serve as the primary owner throughout all project phases providing leadership, coordinating team efforts, and supporting decision-making to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. • Work with established guidelines and Enterprise Business Agility Coach to determine the most effective delivery approach. • Work with the broader project management team to identify dependencies and interactions between projects and their impacts planned work. • Determine mitigation plans to address risks. • Develop and execute communication plans, facilitate project team meetings, and provide timely updates to stakeholders and sponsors from initiation through closure. Ensure proactive, transparent communication between project teams and stakeholders; promptly escalate issues, delays, or deviations from original specifications. • Unique Senior-level responsibilities: • Act as the primary resource in all phases of the projects and adds value as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to project-specific content. • Effectively create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to decompose project scope into manageable tasks and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project objectives. • Serve as a liaison between vendors and internal departments, ensuring effective integration and communication for a given project. • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of project management experience • OR associate degree with 5+ years of project management experience • OR high school equivalency with 8+ years of project management experience • Ability to deliver both agile and waterfall projects that offer outstanding business value to the users • Strong meeting process and facilitation skills • Strong analytical skills and ability to do complex problem solving • Create strong relationships and provide positive experiences for internal partners • Excellent negotiation skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Unique Senior Project Manager Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of project management experience • OR associate degree with 7+ years of project management experience • OR high school equivalency with 10+ years of project management experience • 1+ year of Agile hybrid project management experience • Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar or ability to obtain within 2 years of hire • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and takes a proactive approach and consultative approach in making recommendations and advising senior-level staff This position may work remotely but will be required to report to our office in Madison, WI on occasion. Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
