This person will work closely with the existing Program Management team to support detailed financial tracking needs. Functions include assisting in financial budgeting/planning, tracking actuals vs forecast and AOP, preparing accruals, reviewing financial proformas, conducting financial forecasting, and liaising with project owners to ensure delivery is within budget.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and maintain strong relationships with appropriate business and functional partners to support and manage project financials for multiple active programs or projects
Track detailed financials based on the project plan, commitments, contracts/SOWs, invoice management (day-to-day financial management of project spend)
Prepare and update financial plans, forecasts, and other forward-looking financial reviews while proactively identifying issues and providing commentary
Manage quarterly close activities and prepare quarter/year-end close entries; work with Accounting to prepare accruals, reclasses, prepaid expenses, and various journal entries as necessary
Lead presentation meetings with project leaders concerning monthly forecasts and actuals; includes variance and cause of change explanations and effective storytelling that influences decision-making
Review project proformas prior to routing for final approval and maintain Clarity Cost Plans for projects within their portfolio of projects
Serve as point of contact for project financials inquiries/needs, and conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by leaders and/or the Finance Consolidations team
Assist in conducting weekly BOT support hour sessions, and monthly training sessions regarding EnTech finance processes and functions
Provide input on project accounting/finance process improvements
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of Project Controller (Sr. Financial Analyst) experience managing technology programs
Experience managing multiple project financials, priorities, and tasks across teams
Proficient in preparing detailed monthly financial project/program reports and leading meetings
Strong analytical and problem-solving skillset with a creative mindset for increasing efficiencies and automation
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel – proficient in developing pivot tables, graphs, and Excel formulas
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Clarity PPM
SAP experience (pulling Actuals and other reports)
Experience working for a large company and within a matrix organization
Experience supporting technology organizations
Required Education
Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Technology and/or a related field
Project management skills (PMI Certification or equivalent a plus)
The hiring range for this position in California is $103,400 to $126,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
