As a Senior Production Support Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability and performance of our applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive success and customer satisfaction. About the Role This is a 6-month contract position that requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including SQL, UNIX, Oracle Databases, and incident management. As a Senior Production Support Consultant, you will be responsible for working across designated teams to ensure applications are fully available to all stakeholders and customers. Your key responsibilities will include: Assisting development teams in deployments, routine patching, and system application monitoring/troubleshooting Analyzing and evaluating complex data file processing, translating customer reporting requirements, and creating reports Providing application testing and validations Leading incident response calls and contributing/creating after-action reports Collaborating with stakeholders, executives, and technical staff to drive incident resolution and application availability Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong working knowledge of SQL, UNIX, and Oracle Databases, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will also need to have: A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development and/or related fields A Bachelor's degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (preferred) Demonstrated experience using SQL query on Oracle Databases to perform database lookups Strong knowledge of incident management and the ability to lead as a Critical Incident Manager to restore production applications impacting events Effective liaison skills to work between business and technical teams Extensive knowledge of and experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex business, accounting, and management information systems Preferred Qualifications and Skills In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, we are looking for candidates with experience in: Agile methodologies, Version One, ServiceNow, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), logging tools such as Splunk Enterprise, and monitoring tools such as Neustar and AppDynamics Cloud monitoring tools such as Google Cloud Platform Cloud Monitoring (Stackdriver) Java, Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, and Visual Basic What We Offer As a Senior Production Support Consultant with our organization, you will have the opportunity to: Work on high-visibility programs and mission-critical aspects of a given program Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job Develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment Enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package Work remotely on a night shift basis, with a rotating schedule of 4 x 10 hour days per week Receive training and mentoring to support your success in the role Our Culture and Work Environment At our organization, we value collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
