Senior Product Owner
Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Product Owner to lead our Collaboration Product team within UTI. The team has responsibility for our communication, coordination, content creation, and information sharing solutions for internal and external use. Major components include our Intranet, SharePoint, Power Automate based workflows, and various email and texting systems. This role is responsible for developing the strategy and roadmaps for these areas and drives our efforts to revamp how we use these capabilities across the company and leverage it to improve day-to-day collaboration and productivity. Candidates should have a strong background in intranets, SharePoint, Power Platform, enterprise collaboration platforms, and experience managing products/solutions within a product driven organization. This position manages a team of resources and candidates must have previous people management experience within an IT and/or product organization. Responsibilities:
Partner with Product Managers and business leaders to define product strategy, roadmap, and long-term visionLead and manage multiple products across teams, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives Translate complex business needs into actionable efforts and requirements Prioritize initiatives by balancing customer value, business outcomes, technical dependencies, and risk Drive cross-functional collaboration between design, engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders Ensure Agile teams deliver high-quality product increments that meet performance, scalability, and usability standard. Represent the product in stakeholder meetings, steering committees, and executive updates Track and report product KPIs, measure business outcomes, and adapt strategy based on insights Mentor and coach junior Product Owners, Business Analysts, and team members to build product management capability Champion Agile and product management best practices across the organization Establish/maintain a high-performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics Recognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievements Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education / Experience:Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or related field (required)Five (5) years of experience as a Product Manager, or Product Owner in an Agile environment (required) Strong background with IntranetsStrong background with SharePoint and Power PlatformStrong experience managing Product and Solutions within a product driven organization Experience managing a team and must have previous people management experience in IT or Product Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum frameworks, prioritization, and product delivery (required) Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally) (required) Experience leading digital transformations or large-scale enterprise product initiatives (preferred) Understanding of UX/UI design principles, customer journey mapping, and analytics (preferred) Background in data-driven decision-making and product performance measurement Skills: Skilled in managing complex products in a large enterprise setting Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum frameworks, prioritization, and product delivery Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and negotiation skills Background of delivering products that create measurable customer and business value Abilities: Able and willing to:Communicate, think, learn, and reasonUse computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to process transactions, store documents, enter data, or perform assigned tasksSafely ambulate and/or maneuver when on-site at Company locationsDemonstrate and utilize active listening, inductive reasoning, information ordering and category flexibilityAbility to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretionAbility to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential and multiple projects are worked simultaneouslyAbility to gain, understand and apply information and data as it relates essential functions of the positionAbility to foster long-term relationships with stakeholdersAbility to influence product strategy at senior leadership levels and across organizational boundariesWork Environment:Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location.
