The team’s mission is to optimize payment operations, reduce friction, improve dispute resolution processes, and drive operational excellence while balancing customer experience, risk, and business outcomes.
In this role, you will be responsible for a critical product vertical supporting payment operations and transaction management capabilities. You will define, build, and execute the product strategy for solutions that support payment processing, dispute and chargeback management, financial operations, and related customer experiences. Specifically, you will identify and deliver innovative product capabilities that improve operational efficiency, reduce revenue leakage, mitigate risk, and enhance the customer experience across Hertz-owned and operated channels. You will also assist in evaluating new technologies, partnerships, and opportunities that support the evolving needs of the business. This is a high-impact role requiring collaboration across engineering, finance, operations, customer experience, legal, compliance, and analytics teams.
What You'll Do:

Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for payment operations and chargeback management capabilities.
Identify opportunities to improve transaction success, streamline dispute resolution processes, reduce operational inefficiencies, and enhance customer experiences.
Own product initiatives from concept through delivery, partnering closely with engineering teams to prioritize and execute against the roadmap.
Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, accounting, operations, customer support, legal, compliance, analytics, and engineering to define requirements and deliver business value.
Establish and monitor key performance metrics related to transaction processing, dispute outcomes, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
Drive improvements in data instrumentation, reporting, and analytics to enable informed decision-making and operational visibility.
Leverage customer insights, operational data, and market research to identify opportunities and inform product strategy.
Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and third-party solutions to support business objectives.
Build business cases, gain executive alignment, and drive adoption of new products and capabilities across the organization.
Balance customer needs, operational requirements, risk considerations, and business objectives when making product decisions.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research, or a related field required; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
4+ years of product management experience leading products through the end-to-end product lifecycle.
Experience owning product strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, and complex trade-off decisions.
Experience working with payment operations, transaction processing, dispute management, financial systems, risk operations, or related business domains preferred.
Demonstrated success building alignment around product vision and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience contributing to technical discussions regarding system architecture, integrations, scalability, and platform strategy.
Ability to understand, discuss, and challenge technical concepts and trade-offs with engineering teams.
Experience working in Agile environments and participating in Scrum teams.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to understand customer behavior, operational performance, and business outcomes.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, make high-impact decisions with incomplete information, and develop strategies to validate assumptions.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority and drive execution across multiple stakeholders.
