About the Role
As a Senior Product Designer in our New Verticals group, you will be responsible for designing and shaping the customer experience across new categories, including retail and convenience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define the vision and strategy for our customer experience and develop intuitive and seamless experiences that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to DoorDash's customer product strategy and define the future of our service
Explore complex problem spaces, working with your team to identify opportunities and develop solutions
Design and refine solutions through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual design
Influence your team's approach to product development, shaping the team's culture, processes, and practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and marketing
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customers' needs and behaviors
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product design
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
5+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on customer experience
Portfolio that showcases your expertise in product design, including wireframing, prototyping, and visual design
Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and user experience
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the food delivery, retail, or convenience industries
Familiarity with design tools, such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
Experience with front-end development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Knowledge of accessibility design principles and inclusive design practices
