You’ll work closely with your team on every stage of the product development process; from ideation and concept to strategy, UX, and visual design. You’ll work with other design team members to help flush out new features as well as work directly with our CEO and other stakeholders to address design changes and improvements throughout our apps and products. Candidates should be comfortable with design software like Figma and have experience, and a passion for, working on consumer apps and digital products.Acorns is a remote-first organization, offering the flexibility to work remotely while providing optional access to office space in Irvine, CA.Key Responsibilities:Product Expertise: Understand product goals and objectives, translate requirements into actionable design solutions, and address user pain points while contributing to the company’s key performance indicators (OKRs).Collaborative Execution: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to design and deliver user-centered features and functionality across multiple platforms.Solution Presentation: Develop and present thoughtful, innovative, and user-focused design solutions that enhance the customer experience. Clearly articulate design rationale to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding.Research-Driven Design: Advocate for and incorporate user research into the design process. Share findings to inform product development and refine solutions. Must be comfortable with running live A/B experiments and contribute to research strategyTeam Collaboration: Actively participate in design reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team. Serve as a design advocate across the organization..What you will bring to Acorns:Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a related role, with a demonstrated ability to deliver impactful user experiencesDesign Proficiency: Strong understanding of design principles and best practices, including typography, desktop/mobile UI, color schemes, layout, and iconography. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, equity grants, and discretionary cash bonus awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
