Senior Procurement Consultant

The UBDS group is seeking an experienced Technology Procurement Manager to support a major public sector client through a period of significant digital transformation and procurement activity.This role will provide leadership and oversight to ensure continuity, maintain delivery capacity, and support the successful execution of a complex portfolio of high-value, high-risk technology procurements.The successful candidates will operate at the intersection of commercial delivery, supplier management, and service governance. They will play a key role in ensuring that technology services are procured, onboarded, transitioned, and governed in a controlled, compliant, and operationally effective manner.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support end-to-end technology procurement activities across a portfolio of complex programmes Manage procurement lifecycle processes, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations and internal governance frameworks Support supplier onboarding, transition, and exit activities, ensuring minimal operational disruption Collaborate with stakeholders to align procurement strategies with service design and operational requirements Ensure all procured services are operable, auditable, and aligned with service management principles from inception Provide commercial assurance and risk management across multiple concurrent procurements Engage with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations, timelines, and delivery outcomes Contribute to the standardisation and continuous improvement of procurement processes and best practice Support governance, reporting, and audit activities across the procurement function Mitigate risks associated with supplier dependency, transition complexity, and service continuity
