The Role: Offchain Labs is looking for a Senior PR & Communications Manager to act as the primary architect of our global communications strategy. The ideal candidate is a skilled storyteller with a proven track record in crafting compelling narratives, managing external PR teams, media relations, and developing comprehensive PR strategies. You will develop thought leadership initiatives, secure speaking opportunities at industry conferences, and organise executive communications to ensure our leadership team is well-briefed for opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively communicate Offchain Lab's vision and values across various platforms and to diverse audiences. What you'll do: • Craft and execute comprehensive PR and communication strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on media relations, executive thought leadership, and ecosystem growth • Oversee external PR agencies and partners globally, setting clear KPIs and ensuring consistent delivery on brand goals • Establish and nurture deep relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers within the blockchain, crypto, and broader technology sectors • Generate high-quality content across diverse channels, including press releases, blog posts, social media, and executive briefing materials • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership, preparing them for media interviews, keynote speeches, and industry panels • Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and technical accuracy • Spearhead crisis communications and proactively develop frameworks to mitigate potential reputational risks • Monitor and analyse PR metrics to optimise performance and report on share of voice and sentiment to key stakeholders What you'll need: • Extensive experience in PR and communications, with at least 3 years of deep immersion in the blockchain and crypto landscape • Ability to translate complex technical concepts (such as Layer 2 scaling) into accessible narratives for various audiences • Established network of media contacts within the Web3 space and mainstream business/tech press • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a portfolio that demonstrates versatility in tone and format • Demonstrated experience in managing high-stakes communications and safeguarding organisational reputation in a 24/7 news cycle • Track record of developing and implementing PR initiatives that directly contribute to long-term business growth • Team player who thrives in a remote-first, fast-paced environment and can provide calm, strategic counsel under pressure • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field Perks: • Remote-first global workforce + soon to open NY office • Annual company offsite (last year, Bahamas!) • Opportunity for subsidized attendance to industry conferences • Medical, dental & vision coverage (US + some other countries) • 401k retirement plan + company match (US only) • Home office set up / ergonomic equipment matching program Attention Offchain Labs Job Seekers: Please be advised that there has been a rise in fraudulent recruiter activities, particularly within the Web3 space.
