The Team You’ll Join

The Platform Engineer will support and evolve core cloud and developer platforms used across the organization, including AWS, CI/CD tooling, and application security systems. This role combines hands-on operational support with a strong focus on automation and AI-assisted development, enabling engineering teams to move faster through scalable, self-service solutions rather than manual processes.

Working closely with platform, security, and application teams, this role is responsible not just for maintaining systems, but for continuously improving them—identifying inefficiencies, building automation, leveraging AI to accelerate development and operations, and helping shape a secure, developer-friendly platform experience.

How You’ll Contribute
• Support developers in their use of AWS by creating AWS accounts, creating/updating permissions, enforcing a uniform security baseline, and other aspects of AWS management.
• Support developers in their use of GitLab by creating groups, creating/updating permissions, integrating with enterprise tools, and other aspects of GitLab management.
• Design and develop automations to deliver services to developers faster and more consistently leveraging AI tooling where appropriate.
• Design and develop self-service offerings so developers can access our cloud platforms directly without a dependency on the Platform Operations team.
• Provide operational support for the cloud platforms managed by the Platform Operations team.
• Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
• As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

What You’ll Need to Bring
• 5+ years of experience with AWS.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Strong Python or Golang skills.
• Experience using or administering Kubernetes.
• Experience with CICD technologies (e.g. Gitlab, Github, Jenkins, etc.).
• Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision in a results-oriented, fast-paced dynamic environment.

Why You’ll Enjoy Working at Envestnet

Help shape the future of WealthTech. At Envestnet you’ll gain hands-on experience and collaborate with some of the industry’s brightest minds to deliver meaningful, innovative solutions that make a real difference.
