Senior Network Engineer
Maintains the City network system and provides technical support to end users of network systems application software. Supervises the Network Engineer position
Hiring Min for posting: $88,720.00- Hiring Max for posting: $105,771.55 based on certifications. This position is a skill based pay position.
Work Hours: M-Th 7:30AM - 5:30PM Friday 7:30AM - 11:30AM
Ā Note: This position is a hybrid based role, with 2 days a week from home and 3 days in office*
Ā Designs and maintains data center/campus networking, VOIP, and network security infrastructure.
Ā Provides technical assistance with all hardware and software related to network infrastructure and troubleshoots issues as they occur.
Ā Helps to define, recommend, and implement network, VOIP, and wireless enhancements, and changes.
Ā Create and maintain documentation of enterprise infrastructure topology and system configurations.
Ā Supports LAN/WAN communications for remote devices.
Ā Supports Point-to-Point, Point-to-Multipoint wireless systems.
Ā Requisitions needed supplies and equipment for network, VOIP, and wireless systems and hardware and software.
Ā Performs all other related duties as assigned. This also includes special projects that will be assigned from time to time or recurring projects assigned by manager.
Ā Evaluates employee performance and counsels as needed to correct and improve performance.
Ā Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining and completing employee performance appraisals.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
Experience:
4 years experience in Information Technology, including designing, configuring, administering, maintaining and a complex network environment, including LAN, WAN, and Cloud environments
Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job is an acceptable substitute for the above specified education and experience requirements.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
Ā Knowledge of networking current network technologies, standards, protocols, and hardware, including configuration and management of Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches. (including OSPF and BGP)
Ā Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
Ā Knowledge of computer hardware component capabilities and communications.
Ability to:

Ā Ability to follow instructions, safety practices and standard operating procedures in performing assigned tasks.
