Senior Mortgage Loan Officer (Remote)
Job Description
Variant Lending Group is expanding and seeking a seasoned Mortgage Loan Officer to step into a high-level production role.
This is not an entry-level or training position. We are looking for a confident, experienced LO who can independently structure, originate, and close loans at a high level.
We provide consistent lead flow and infrastructure support. As your production grows, we intend to hire you a dedicated Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) to help increase your capacity and efficiency.
This is designed for a professional who wants autonomy, scale, and real upside.
Minimum Requirements
• Active NMLS / MLO license
• Must be currently licensed in the state in which you reside
• 3+ years of recent, active production as a Loan Officer
• Strong working knowledge of:
• DU / LP findings
• FHA, VA, NON QM, Conventional guidelines
• Credit analysis and structuring
• Complex income scenarios (self-employed, layered risk, etc.)
• Excellent communication and borrower management skills
• Ability to operate independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Licensed in multiple states (a plus)
• Experience with multiple LOS systems
• Strong CRM discipline
• Existing referral partners (a plus, not required)
