Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS & Android)
Must-Have Skills
Build features for our iOS and Android apps used by millions of customers globally. The Mobile team covers both platforms, and engineers with cross-platform experience (React Native or Kotlin Multiplatform) are especially valuable alongside native iOS and Android specialists.
What you will do
ā Ship new features for iHerb's iOS and/or Android apps using AI-assisted development tooling.
ā Participate in the mobile modernization effort, contributing to app architecture improvements and new platform capabilities.
ā Write maintainable, well-tested mobile code and own features from design spec through app store release.
ā Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to integrate new APIs and product experiences.
ā Use Claude Code or equivalent AI tooling daily for code generation, refactoring, and test automation.
ā Contribute to cross-platform tooling and shared component libraries as the mobile platform evolves.
Track-specific required skills
ā Proficiency in Swift/iOS and, Kotlin/Android
ā Experience shipping apps to the App Store and/or Google Play.
ā Understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.
ā Cross-platform experience with React Native and Kotlin Multiplatform is a strong plus.
Track-specific Nice-to-have skills
ā Cross-platform mobile experience with React Native or Kotlin Multiplatform.
ā Contributions to internal developer tooling, golden path standards, or SDLC process improvements.
ā Experience with e-commerce platforms, product catalogs, or high-traffic consumer applications.
ā Experience working in distributed teams across the US, China, and Latin America.
REQUIRED SKILLS (ALL TRACKS)
ā AI-driven SDLC (required): hands-on experience shipping production code with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor. The bar is not awareness; it is daily use in delivering real software.
ā Familiarity with .NET/C#, Go, Python, Java, React, MS SQL Server, Azure or AWS.
ā Full-stack awareness: comfortable contributing across layers of the stack when needed; purely single-layer specialists are not the target profile.
ā Production ownership: experience owning features end-to-end from spec through deployment and ongoing operations.
ā Code quality fundamentals: strong grasp of software design principles, automated testing, code review, and CI/CD.
ā D3 (7+ yrs): independently delivers features with some guidance; strong fundamentals; beginning to make broader technical contributions.
ADVANCED CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH AND SPANISH ESSENTIAL (Will be evaluated).
