Description We are seeking an experienced data professional to design and implement a centralized data warehouse using the Microsoft SQL Server and Azure stack. This project involves consolidating data from multiple source systems into a structured, scalable, cloud-hosted warehouse to support reporting and decision-making. This is a hands-on role for someone with a proven track record of building data warehouses and ETL pipelines specifically within the Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem. Key Responsibilities - Design and implement a data warehouse using Microsoft SQL Server on the Azure cloud - Develop, deploy, and maintain ETL packages to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems - Define and implement data models - Ensure data integrity, quality, and performance optimization - Document architecture, data flows, and processes - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and priorities Required Qualifications - Demonstrated experience building data warehouses using Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Cloud Computing Services - Strong expertise in ETL development - Advanced SQL skills (T-SQL, performance tuning, indexing strategies) - Experience integrating data from multiple systems (APIs, flat files, databases, etc.) - Proven track record of delivering similar projects (please include examples) Nice to Have - Experience with reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, or similar) - Familiarity with the faith-based or nonprofit sector - Experience designing data models for analytics and reporting use cases Project Details Project Type: Contract / Freelance Duration: 3 months (initial build with potential for ongoing support) Start: As soon as possible To Apply Please include the following in your proposal: - A brief summary of your experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Cloud Services - Examples of similar data warehouse or ETL projects you’ve completed - Any experience working with nonprofits or mission-driven organizations (if applicable) - Your availability and estimated timeline for a project of this nature
