Senior Medical Biller (Chronic Care Management Focus) – Remote Contractor Role w/ Flexible Hours
About Us We are a growing healthcare company focused on delivering exceptional chronic care management (CCM) services. As we scale, we need a billing partner who can both roll up their sleeves for day-to-day billing and also bring a leadership presence to help us refine and expand our revenue cycle processes. The Role We are seeking an experienced medical biller with strong knowledge of Medicare and chronic care management billing to join us as a key member of our revenue operations team. This role blends hands-on billing execution with strategic input and collaboration at the leadership level. You will: • Manage the day-to-day submission of claims, posting of payments, and handling of denials/appeals. • Ensure accurate billing of CCM codes (99490, 99439, 99487, 99489, 99491, etc.) and compliance with Medicare guidelines. • Partner with leadership (including the VP of Revenue) to identify bottlenecks, improve processes, and optimize collections. • Present insights and revenue cycle metrics in a clear, executive-friendly manner. • Be comfortable handling both the “scut work” of billing and the higher-level strategic conversations that will shape how we grow. • Review claims for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Medicare regulations prior to submission. • Identify, flag, and resolve issues or discrepancies with documentation or coding. • Collaborate with providers and staff to obtain missing information or clarify clinical documentation. • Stay current on CMS regulations, payer guidelines, and updates impacting CCM billing. • Eventually play a role in shaping and overseeing our billing operations team as we expand. Who You Are • A seasoned medical biller/revenue cycle specialist (5+ years preferred). • Confident in Medicare billing, particularly chronic care management services. • Assertive and proactive — you don’t just flag problems, you suggest solutions. • Comfortable engaging with leadership and contributing to process design. • Willing to dive into day-to-day billing while also preparing us for scale. • Familiar with HIPAA compliance and remote billing best practices.
