Senior Manager, QA

Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager, Quality Assurance with over 15 years of experience in software quality engineering, functional validation, performance testing, and automation. This leader will define and drive the QA strategy across multiple product lines, ensuring that quality remains a core pillar of delivery. While deep expertise in automation frameworks and performance testing is expected, experience with Agentic AI in testing and test automation will be considered a valuable plus. Key Responsibilities • Leadership & Strategy • Lead QA Managers, Senior Engineers, and geographically distributed teams across multiple product lines. • Define the QA roadmap focusing on functional correctness, performance, scalability, and automation coverage. • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Development, and DevOps leaders to integrate quality into every stage of delivery. • Functional & Performance Testing • Oversee comprehensive functional testing strategies ensuring correctness across web, API, and microservices platforms. • Build and scale performance testing practices, focusing on load, stress, scalability, and reliability metrics. • Drive the adoption of performance benchmarking and monitoring integrated into CI/CD pipelines. • Automation & Quality Engineering • Enhance automation coverage using modern frameworks and tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, JMeter, etc.). • Implement shift-left testing and integrate automation into CI/CD for continuous validation. • Explore AI-assisted defect detection, regression prioritization, and self-healing tests to complement standard automation. • Operational Excellence • Define and monitor QA KPIs, dashboards, and release quality metrics to drive accountability. • Ensure compliance and security testing are embedded into QA practices. • Foster a culture of innovation and ownership within the QA team. Qualifications • 15+ years of progressive experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, and QA Leadership roles. • Proven track record in leading functional and performance testing strategies at scale. • Strong expertise in automation frameworks and performance testing tools. • Experience working with cloud-native applications, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps environments. • Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field. Good to Have • Exposure to Agentic AI in testing and test automation, including use of AI-driven tools for test case generation, defect analysis, and autonomous regression. • Knowledge of cybersecurity testing, compliance validation, and risk-based QA. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker). • Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) validation, AI observability, and intelligent monitoring.
