Develop and implement comprehensive government affairs strategies to support 3M's business objectives and promote the company's interests at all levels of government.

Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that may impact 3M's operations and provide guidance to the company on potential risks and opportunities.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and advocacy groups, to advance 3M's policy priorities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute advocacy plans to influence policy and legislation in alignment with 3M's goals.

Represent 3M in meetings, hearings, and other engagements with government officials and external stakeholders, effectively communicating the company's position and advocating for its interests.

Monitor and report on political and regulatory trends, developments, and potential risks that could impact 3M's operations and reputation.

Develop and manage budgets and resources for government affairs activities, ensuring efficient and effective use of company resources.

Provide guidance and counsel to internal teams on government affairs matters, including compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Lead and mentor a team of government affairs professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends, continually seeking opportunities to enhance 3M's government affairs strategies and initiatives.

Participate in industry associations and conferences, representing 3M and promoting the company's interests and initiatives.

Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all government affairs activities.

Collaborate with external partners to build coalitions and alliances that support 3M's policy priorities and amplify the company's voice in the public policy arena.

Proactively identify and mitigate potential reputational risks related to government affairs activities.

Continually assess and report on the effectiveness of government affairs strategies and initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
