We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Expansion Operations in Italy. This role is responsible for leading global expansion initiatives across multiple regions, ensuring operational readiness, compliance, and efficiency in new markets. The Senior Manager will oversee cross-functional projects, manage relationships with external international payroll partners, and optimize processes for launching operations in diverse regulatory environments. The position combines strategic planning, hands-on execution, and leadership of a high-performing team to drive operational excellence. Success in this role requires the ability to manage complex multi-country projects, mentor team members, and implement scalable processes that support rapid business growth. Accountabilities • Lead operational projects supporting market expansion into new countries and regions. • Develop and implement processes to ensure smooth entry, focusing on compliance, legal, and payroll operations. • Collaborate with Product, Legal, HR, Finance, and other teams to ensure operational readiness for new market launches. • Oversee onboarding of new global entities, including tax, legal, and compliance requirements. • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in operational workflows and implement solutions to improve efficiency. • Manage and mentor cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful launches in new regions. • Maintain operational documentation, including workflows, SOPs, and launch checklists. • Monitor and report on the performance of new market operations and ensure adherence to local laws and regulations. • Serve as the escalation point for partner-supported countries, supporting issue resolution and continuous improvement. Requirements • 7+ years of experience in operations, expansion, or project management with a focus on global growth. • 3+ years of experience managing or leading a team. • Strong understanding of global expansion processes, including legal, tax, and payroll operations. • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex projects across multiple countries. • Exceptional project management, governance, and organizational skills. • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
