About the Role: Senior Manager Care Management We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Care Management to lead our care management strategies, policies, and programs at blithequark. This role is crucial in driving the delivery of quality healthcare to our members. As a Senior Manager, you will oversee the management of high-performing teams, ensure the effective operation of care management and care coordination activities, and serve as a liaison with regulatory and accrediting agencies. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, uphold, and advance health services strategies, policies, and programs that drive the delivery of quality healthcare to blithequark members. Lead the clinical team that supports timely health risk screenings, comprehensive assessments, care plan development, and member interventions according to the blithequark Hazard Definition Level System and state regulatory requirements. Serve as a liaison with regulatory and accrediting agencies and other health specialty units. Act as a technical, professional, and business resource, potentially across multiple business capabilities. Support quality improvement projects through effective execution. Create, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures that address business issues. Demonstrate the ability to coordinate program implementation and clinical outcomes. Show a deep understanding of the regulations, rules, and policies related to clinical management. Communicate effectively with internal and external constituents in both written and oral form. Evaluate and interpret data to monitor staff performance, regulatory compliance, and the development of new projects and processes. Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for staff, defining clear requirements for education, experience, technical, and performance skills. Develop, initiate, monitor, and communicate performance expectations. Support the management of complex physical and behavioral health cases by being clinically and culturally competent. Lead regularly scheduled individual and group meetings with a focus on member management delivery, fulfillment of administrative responsibilities, and meeting established productivity standards. Ensure Care Management compliance with contract requirements and identify opportunities to implement best practice approaches. Meet clinical operational and quality targets of the contract and demonstrate the ability to act as a change agent and lead change efforts. Maintain compliance with policies and procedures and implement them at the staff level. Essential Qualifications: Active, unrestricted Texas State License in the appropriate functional area (e.g., RN, LPC, LCSW). 7 years of experience in a clinical subject matter area. 7 years of supervisory/administrative experience. Care management experience. Knowledge of regulations, rules, and policies related to clinical management. 3+ years of experience with PC, keyboard navigation, and MS Office Suite applications. Preferred Qualifications: Managed care experience. Certified Caseworker (CCM). Texas Medicaid experience, specifically TX STAR and CHIP. Education: A Bachelor's degree is required for RN licensure or a graduate degree in social services/clinical counseling for BH licensure.
