About the Role As a Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics - Transportation, you'll play a critical role in driving business growth and efficiency by leveraging data analytics and insights to inform strategic decisions. You'll lead a team of analysts and work closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and implement data-driven initiatives that transform our transportation network. Key Responsibilities Business Partnerships: Collaborate with senior leadership to identify business needs and develop strategic recommendations Prepare executive presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to management Review findings and provide insights based on feedback from partners People Development: Coach team members on strategic initiatives and provide pathways to achieve business goals Conduct performance reviews and provide actionable insights for career development Data Collection and Analysis: Develop and manage data pipelines, data lakes, and other data infrastructure Perform in-depth analysis using SQL, Python, and Tableau to inform business decisions Develop processes to monitor and flag outliers in data Model Development: Build and manage algorithmic products/models to drive business outcomes Use existing Walmart tools to verify findings and run simulations Formulate technical problems and solutions for data-related challenges Proof of Concept and Testing: Lead pilot programs across the network and identify gaps for implementation Partner with stakeholders to generate new ideas and contribute to proof-of-concepts Data Quality Management: Plan and lead efforts to ensure data quality and integrity Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures Monitor data quality metrics and proactively identify and address issues Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field with 8 years of experience in analytics-related fields, or a Master's degree in a related field with 6 years of experience 4+ years of people management experience Expertise in Python, SQL, GCP, and Tableau Experience with product/tool rollout across multiple organizations Strong presentation and verbal communication skills Previous experience in Supply Chain and Transportation Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Six Sigma Certification (Green or Black) Certificate in business analytics, data mining, or statistical analysis Statistical programming languages (e.g., SAS, R) Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Statistics What We Offer At Walmart, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Competitive pay and performance-based bonus awards 401(k) match and stock purchase plan Paid maternity and parental leave, PTO, and holidays Multiple health plans and wellness programs Live Better U: a Walmart-paid education benefit program Opportunities for career growth and development The annual salary range for this position is $90,000-$180,000, with additional compensation including annual or quarterly performance bonuses and stock awards.
