As the company continues to evolve, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting & Controller to oversee financial operations, compliance, and strategic improvements.
Job Summary
This role will be responsible for financial reporting, audit management, system transitions, policy enforcement, and process creation & improvement. The Senior Manager will lead efforts to enhance financial accuracy, streamline accounting operations, implement strong internal controls, and support leadership in strategic decision-making. This position requires both technical accounting expertise and strong leadership to develop scalable processes that align with business growth.
Job Location: Hybrid, in office Tuesday and Thursday
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Reporting
ย Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
ย Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
ย Maintain accurate reporting for revenue, expenses, and general ledger transactions.
ย Collaborate with FP&A and operations teams to provide financial insights.
Audit & Compliance
ย Lead the financial statement audit process.
ย Partner with Human Resources to oversee 401(k) audits and compliance reporting.
ย Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and evolving accounting standards.
ย Strengthen internal controls and risk management strategies.
Process & Systems Optimization
ย Implement best practices for financial policies, procurement, and corporate card usage.
ย Improve reconciliation procedures and transaction accuracy.
ย Lead general ledger system enhancements and manage accounting software transitions.
ย Enforce & improve T&E policies, revenue recognition principles, and procurement controls.
Operational & Strategic Support
ย Work closely with senior leadership on financial strategy, and cost control.
ย Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize financial workflows and enhance efficiency.
ย Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, vendor agreements, and revenue policies.
Team Development & Leadership
ย Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
ย Build scalable accounting operations to support future growth and operational changes.
ย Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
ย Bachelorยs degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
ย 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level responsibilities.
ย Deep expertise in GAAP, audit management, and financial reporting.
ย Strong background in internal controls, compliance, and risk mitigation.
ย Experience managing system transitions and software implementations.
ย Proven ability to develop and enforce financial policies and governance.
ย Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
ย Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
