We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Container Platform Engineer to manage, maintain, and evolve our containerized environments while supporting cloud migrations in AWS and Windows Server–based systems.
This role will be responsible for ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across our hybrid infrastructure.
This is a remote position that we are open to candidates sitting in the following states: FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, MI, NC, NH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI, MD, or OR.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS and/or self-managed) in production environments
Maintain and optimize containerized workloads using such as containers (OCI), containers, Kubernetes, image build pipelines, and registry hygiene
Implement, tuning, and manage Datadog for Kubernetes monitoring, logging, and alerting
Lead and support AWS cloud migrations, including planning, execution, and post-migration optimization
Manage AWS infrastructure components such as EC2, EKS, VPCs, IAM, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch
Support and maintain Windows Server environments, including patching, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and troubleshooting
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications
Monitor system performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and outages as a member of the IT on-call rotation
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform reliability
Document architecture, processes, and operational procedures
This position has a on-call coverage rotation
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
8+ years of IT experience with 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Kubernetes in production
Experience managing cloud environments such as AWS services and cloud migration projects
Hands-on experience with Datadog, specifically for Kubernetes monitoring, logging, and APM
Solid understanding of Windows Server administration and troubleshooting
Experience with container technologies
Knowledge of networking concepts (load balancing, DNS, firewalls, TLS)
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, etc.)
Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or CKS)
Experience tuning Datadog dashboards, monitors, and alerts for production workloads
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments
Familiarity with security best practices in containerized and cloud environments
Experience supporting both Linux and Windows workloads in Kubernetes
