About the position

The Senior Liability Claim Adjuster at FCCI Insurance Group is responsible for investigating and adjusting assigned commercial claims of moderate complexity, including litigation. The role requires strong technical skills, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to work effectively in a diverse and innovative environment. The adjuster will determine liability, secure information, review coverages, and settle claims while adhering to company best practices and guidelines.

Responsibilities
• Investigate assigned complex General Liability (GL) and Auto claims, including initial investigation and evaluating coverage.

• Negotiate settlements and set reserves within authority limits and time standards.
,
• Document all file activity, including phone calls, attorney contact, and medical providers.
,
• Develop a plan of action, strategy, and future exposure for each claim.
,
• Set and maintain an appropriate diary schedule as specified in company guidelines.
,
• Attend mediations for cases within authority and perform other duties related to claims handling.
,
• Implement strategies to close files expeditiously and manage claims to conclusion effectively.
,
• Coordinate the work of independent adjusters and vendors to handle claims and contain expenses.
,
• Recognize exposures and apply company reserving philosophy, discussing exposures with management as necessary.
,
• Conduct field investigations, including meetings, inspections, and documenting physical evidence.

Requirements
• Proven experience as a claims adjuster, particularly in General Liability and Auto claims.
,
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to evaluate coverage effectively.
,
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
,
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience with litigation claims handling.

• Familiarity with FCCI Claims Philosophy and processes.
