Senior Legal Associate
Our client, a major oil/gas company, is actively looking for a Legal Associate to join their team! This is a fully remote position, however candidates must be located in the US.
• ** This begins as a 6 month contract with an opportunity to extend or convert at any time ***
Important: This role does not require an attorney or bar admission. We are seeking professionals who strongly match the contract drafting, document execution, and transformation support skills outlined below.
Key Responsibilities & Required Skill Set
Candidates should have strong, hands‑on experience with:
• Drafting and finalizing complex legal and commercial documents (execution‑ready)
• Producing long‑form agreements with schedules, annexes, amendments, and renewals
• Translating agreed commercial inputs into precise legal language (without reinterpretation)
• Contract hygiene: definitions, clause logic, numbering, cross‑references, formatting
• Managing redlines, version control, and iterative stakeholder feedback
• Identifying drafting gaps or inconsistencies and proactively flagging issues
• Supporting multiple parallel drafting workstreams under tight timelines
• Coordinating with legal, business, franchise, and SME stakeholders
• Operating within large programs or transformation initiatives
• Basic project management across drafting deliverables and dependencies
