We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer specializing in Microservices and AWS to join a project for a global leader in credit cards, auto loans, banking, and savings accounts. This 100% remote position is open to candidates located in Spain, requiring fluent English for effective collaboration with international teams. Main tasks and accountabilities will be: • Design, develop, and sustain efficient, reusable, and high-quality software. • Optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness. • Collaborate effectively, both independently and within a team environment. • Engage in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including occasional QA and peer code reviews. • Align with the objectives and vision set by Product Management. What do we expect from you? • Very strong Java programming skills and knowledge of building API's • Deep understanding of all stages in the Software Development Life Cycle • Deep understanding of design patterns and principles (e.g. SOLID principles) • Experience with different testing types: Unit Testing, API Testing, Acceptance Testing, Load Testing • Experience with distributed architectures like SOA or MSA • Experience with event-driven architectures • Experience with REST APIs • Relevant experience with AWS services • Experience with Gradle or Maven • Experience with Enterprise Jenkins • Experience working in an Agile fashion (e.g. Scrum, SAFe) • English B2+/C1 What can we offer? 23 days of Annual Leave plus the 24th and 31st of December as discretionary days!
