Senior iOS Engineer

The mission: As a Senior iOS Engineer at Baubap, you’ll work on building the first iOS App of Baubap. You'll deeply understand business rules and build the iOS experience based on proven business logic from our Android app, following iOS native patterns and define the architecture, design patterns and engineering best practices. You'll lead the evolution of our Mobile Apps building towards a scalable, usable and great Product that our clients love. You'll follow best practices while working toward a reusable Component Library , and platform capabilities that enable the Retention team to deliver progressively and safely. The expected outcomes: Deliver High-Impact Features: Create the iOS app and features that address customer needs and drive user engagement, enhancing our users' financial journey and contributing to product success. User-Experience Optimization: Continuously refine the iOS app’s UI/UX so that core flows are intuitive, engaging, and friction-free. Faster and Safer Releases: Implement CI/CD flows that streamline internal testing and reduce manual steps, enabling App Store releases with minimal overhead. Work towards the evolution of our Mobile Core through reusable Component Library, and scalable architecture. Ensure a High-Performance App: Maintain smooth application performance with crash-free sessions above 99.99% and fast response times. Maintain Fintech-Grade Security: Ensure the app meets security standards expected in regulated financial services. Including secure storage, certificate pinning, biometric authentication and encryption. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the app's efficiency, usability, and performance using data insights and user feedback. Support the Team: Foster a culture of learning and innovation by sharing expertise and mentoring teammates. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals, creating seamless product experiences. Day to day tasks: Build our first iOS app with Swift, SwiftUI and clean Architecture. Work towards the evolution of our Mobile Core through reusable Component Library, and scalable architecture. Monitor and optimize app performance and stability using profiling and crash analytics. Maintain comprehensive test coverage (unit/integration) to ensure code quality. Accelerate releases by enhancing our CI/CD pipelines and implementing feature flags . Collaborate with product and design teams to create meaningful user experiences. Take full ownership of work from planning through implementation to release and monitoring. Conduct code reviews to uphold best practices and maintain high code quality. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards. Mentor teammates and foster knowledge sharing across the team. Why YOU should apply: iOS Development Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining iOS app, preferably in a product-driven environment. Architecture: Strong understanding of Clean Architecture principles, modularization, security, SwiftUI & Swift Concurrency: Proficiency with SwiftUI as the primary UI framework, and modern Swift concurrency (async/await, actors). UIKit knowledge for cases where SwiftUI has limitations. Testing: Experience with unit testing, automated testing, and Testflight. Version Control and CI/CD: Proficiency with Git, version control practices, and CI/CD pipelines for maintaining code quality and streamlining deployments. API Integration: Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services into mobile applications.
