Senior Investment Accountant
Overview:
Our client, a major mutual insurance company, is seeking a Senior Investment Accountant to support their team during a critical period of organizational transition and finance modernization.
This is a W2 hourly interim engagement (3-6 months, potential to extend) requiring immediate availability and deep insurance investment accounting expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Support the re-standup of GAAP financial reporting within the investment accounting function
ā¢ Documentation of control processes and valuation workflows under GAAP
ā¢ Perform and document end-to-end investment accounting processes
ā¢ Support data extraction and reporting workflows within Clearwater; assist with data integrity and reconciliation
ā¢ Partner with investment accounting to assess gaps and stabilize operations
ā¢ Contribute to process documentation and knowledge transfer efforts as needed
Qualifications
ā¢ 8+ years of investment accounting experience within an insurance company or adjacent financial services firm
ā¢ Strong GAAP and STAT reporting background
ā¢ Familiarity with Clearwater Analytics
ā¢ Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-change environment
ā¢ Strong documentation and process mapping skills
ā¢ CPA preferred
