This is a genuine remote-first opportunity to lead in a modern, innovative defense practice focused on high-stakes liability matters for insurers and self-insured clients.

The Role
• Manage a focused docket of 15–35 active liability files (trucking/auto/premises)
• Handle defense from intake through resolution: hearings, depositions, mediations, inspections
• Maintain ~160 billable hours/month average
• Collaborate remotely while staying connected to the team
Compensation & Perks
• Base salary up to $200,000 (DOE)
• Discretionary year-end bonus (recent examples: $10K–$15K+)
• 50% employer-covered health, dental, and life insurance
• 2% 401(k) match (quick eligibility)
• Generous PTO: 15 days + up to 10 additional for sick/bereavement/jury duty
• $500 annual CLE/bar dues reimbursement
• $50/month cell phone + fitness reimbursement (gym/Peloton)
Must-Haves
• 7+ years of insurance defense litigation experience
• Expertise in trucking, auto, premises liability, or similar liability defense
• Active Texas Bar license
• Strong client service focus, communication skills, and stability (no frequent job changes)
