A well-established and highly regarded insurance organization is seeking to add a Senior Attorney to its in-house legal team. We are working on an exclusive basis to identify an experienced insurance defense attorney to support a high-volume and sophisticated no-fault/PIP litigation practice. This organization is known for its strong internal collaboration, operational excellence, and commitment to providing a supportive and well-resourced environment for its legal professionals.
The team is composed of thoughtful, driven individuals who value both strategic legal execution and partnership with the business. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a significant caseload while working closely with claims and leadership on complex and impactful matters.
This Senior Attorney will play a key role within the legal function and will be responsible for managing a high-volume portfolio of PIP/no-fault matters, providing strategic oversight on claims, and supporting broader legal initiatives. The role offers a balance of autonomy and collaboration, with exposure to both day-to-day litigation and higher-level decision-making.
The Senior Attorney will be responsible for:
• Managing a high-volume caseload of PIP/no-fault matters from inception through resolution
• Conducting Examinations Under Oath (EUOs) and representing the organization in arbitration proceedings
• Preparing arbitration submissions and supporting documentation
• Partnering closely with claims teams to provide legal guidance and strategic direction
• Independently evaluating cases, identifying defenses, and developing action plans
• Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring integrity within internal systems
• Supporting additional legal projects and contributing to broader team initiatives
The Senior Attorney should have the following qualifications:
• 4-5+ years of experience in insurance defense, with a focus on PIP / no-fault matters
• Active bar admission in New Jersey (or ability to obtain admission)
• Strong understanding of arbitration processes and insurance-related litigation
• Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, fully digital environment
