Salary of the Senior HVAC Engineer:
$135K/yr
Responsibilities of the Senior HVAC Engineer:
ย Lead the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex projects predominantly in academic, lab, science and technology
ย Effectively develop and manage project designs for high performance building systems for air and hydronic distribution, central heating and cooling plants and building management
ย Formulate design criteria, perform calculations, develop concept designs, specifications and construction documents for high performance building systems
ย Supervise and effectively manage technical development throughout all phases of design assuring tasks are completed in accordance with company standards and good engineering practice.
ย Understand Revit to allow leadership and direction for the design teams.
ย Other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Senior HVAC Engineer:
ย Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
ย Professional Engineering license highly preferred
ย Minimum 10+ years of experience designing HVAC systems in high performance buildings. Subject matter expert in specialized fields highly preferred.
ย Experience leading HVAC teams on technically challenging projects, working in dynamic team environments.
ย Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
ย Professional commitment to sustainability is highly preferred, LEED accreditation is helpful
ย Fluency in software for design, documentation, coordination, MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and cloud tools. Working knowledge of Revit / BIM is required.
