Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior HSE Specialist to join our team! We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior HSE Engineer to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives across all phases of design and construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with HSE standards, regulations, and best practices while providing expert guidance as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) and participating in design reviews to integrate safety and environmental considerations into project designs. What You'll Be Doing: Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs for design and construction projects. Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential risks. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards. Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness across all project teams and stakeholders. Act as a Project Management Consultant to provide strategic advice on HSE management frameworks and practices. Conduct regular project reviews to assess HSE compliance and recommend improvements. Develop and deliver training programs to project teams on HSE standards, risk management, and emergency response. Collaborate with project managers to integrate HSE considerations into project execution strategies. Participate in design review meetings to ensure HSE considerations are incorporated into project designs. Evaluate design documents for compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Identify potential hazards in designs and recommend modifications to enhance safety and environmental performance. Work closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between design and HSE objectives. Prepare and present HSE reports, metrics, and documentation to stakeholders and senior management. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all project phases. Stay updated on advancements in HSE technologies, standards, and practices. Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure HSE expectations are met. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Agriculture, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in design and construction projects. Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001). Familiarity with design processes, construction standards, and regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, PMP, or similar is a plus. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Proficiency in HSE management software and tools. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and mitigate risks. Experience in facilitating design reviews and stakeholder meetings.
