Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer with experience in providing medical communications agency design support.

Our designers act as a specialized partner to our pharmaceutical, biotech, and device clients, translating complex scientific data into accurate, engaging content for healthcare professionals, patients, and regulators. This is a hands-on design and layout role with a primary focus on InDesign and PowerPoint work. The ideal candidate excels at translating complex scientific and medical content into clear, visually compelling materials while maintaining brand and scientific accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Design and create medical communication materials, primarily within Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and PowerPoint; deliverables include (but are not limited to) scientific posters; InDesign poster templates; manuscript figures and charts; oral/podium, advisory board and symposium, and pitch/capabilities presentations; PowerPoint scientific templates; infographics; plain language summary imagery

Strategically enhance and elevate existing data visualizations (such as figures, slides) to tell a more impactful and clear story

Prepare print- and presentation-ready files and ensure accuracy, compliance, consistency, and quality standards

Partner closely with Scientific, Account, Project Management, and Editorial teams to execute against briefs

Maintain strong attention to detail, brand consistency, and version control across projects

Manage multiple fast-paced projects while maintaining high design standards

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a major or significant coursework in art, graphic design, or related disciplines preferred

5+ years of design experience; must have relevant experience within a medical communications agency supporting pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device clients

Proven experience in creating scientific posters, manuscript figures, scientific data visualizations, reformatted and upleveled PowerPoint slides, plain language summary imagery, and infographics

Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDFs

Strong understanding of typography and layout best practices

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, regulated environment

Strong collaboration and communication skills

Preferred

Experience creating PowerPoint templates

Familiarity with InCopy, BioRender, Visio, and similar scientific design tools

Skills in digital/Figma, medical illustration, and/or animation a plus
