SENIOR GOOGLE ADS SPECIALIST
The Senior Google Ads Specialist at Shop Engine is responsible for designing, launching, and scaling high-performance Google Ads systems for fast-growing companies across e-commerce, fintech, and crypto. This role requires deep technical understanding of Google Ads, conversion tracking, intent modeling, and iterative optimization under real budget constraints.
You will own outcomes. You will be expected to reason from first principles, diagnose failure modes quickly, and improve performance continuously. This role starts project-based and transitions to full-time as the company grows and results are proven.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and implement Google Ads account structures across Search, YouTube, Display, and Performance Max
• Build scalable campaign architectures optimized for conversion efficiency and growth
• Analyze performance data and rapidly iterate on keywords, bidding strategies, audiences, and creative inputs
• Review conversion data and attribution to ensure measurement accuracy
• Identify funnel bottlenecks and provide clear corrective actions
• Interface with creative and landing page teams to improve conversion rates
• Monitor platform changes, policy constraints, and system-level risks
• Document learnings and maintain clean, repeatable workflows
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 4+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience managing meaningful spend
• Demonstrated ability to improve performance, not just maintain accounts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking systems
• Ability to work independently with high ownership and accountability
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Experience scaling performance under strict platform policies
• SEO knowledge that informs paid search strategy
• Experience in e-commerce, fintech, or crypto environments
• Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and performance testing
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Willingness to work extended hours when required to resolve performance-critical issues
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving, results-driven environment
• Ability to take direct feedback and act on it immediately
