At EPAM NEORIS, we believe that transformation starts with people. Today, as part of EPAM, we have expanded our global reach and capabilities, while keeping what matters most: a culture where every person can grow, contribute, and take the lead. We are not just looking to fill positions. We aim to bring in talent that wants to improve, learn constantly, and make an impact on every project. We are a diverse, inclusive, and continuously evolving team. We promote ideas, not hierarchies. We invest in the real development of every individual. If you want to work in a place where your growth matters as much as the results, we are looking for you. Senior Full‑Stack Software Engineer Main Responsibilities: • Design, build, and operate modern web applications supporting scientific and AI workflows, including frontend user interfaces, backend services, and data integrations. • Develop rich, high‑performance data visualization experiences such as dashboards, exploratory analytics, and interactive visual components to support scientific interpretation. • Build and maintain secure and scalable RESTful and/or GraphQL backend services, integrating internal systems, databases, and external APIs. • Work closely with data scientists and domain experts to integrate ML/AI components, model inference pipelines, and data processing workflows into user‑facing products. • Apply software engineering best practices including automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, documentation, containerization, and monitoring. • Collaborate in cross‑functional, research‑driven environments to transform high‑level scientific and business requirements into robust, scalable, and user‑friendly solutions. Requirements: Mandatory: • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related fields (M.Sc. or PhD is a plus). • 5+ years of professional experience building production‑grade web applications and backend services, with demonstrable full‑stack end‑to‑end delivery in data‑rich domains. • Strong frontend development skills using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and Python‑based frameworks (e.g., Streamlit, Flask, React, Next.js, Vue). • Hands‑on experience with data visualization frameworks such as D3.js, Plotly, Vega‑Lite, or ECharts, and ability to build intuitive, information‑dense scientific UIs. • Strong backend engineering proficiency with Python, using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django, including asynchronous programming patterns and background job processing. • Expert‑level SQL and data modeling for analytical and transactional workloads, with experience using relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) and in‑memory stores (Redis). • Proven experience designing and consuming secure, scalable RESTful APIs; familiarity with OAuth/OIDC, JWT, rate limiting, and secure coding practices. • Hands‑on experience deploying and operating applications on AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFront) and using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines. Nice to Have: • Experience designing advanced scientific visualizations (multi‑dimensional data, temporal or spatial visualizations, imaging, omics) and conducting UX research with scientific stakeholders. • Experience integrating applications with data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake. • Familiarity with ML/AI deployment patterns, including working with model endpoints (SageMaker, Vertex, MLflow), feature stores, or retrieval/search architectures. • Polyglot programming experience (Go, Rust, Java) for performance‑critical components. • Exposure to scientific datasets (omics, imaging, clinical, preclinical) and understanding of associated standards, governance, and privacy considerations. Offered • Permanent contract with a competitive salary • Flexible working model and remote work options • Personalized career plan and continuous training (certifications, English programs, etc.) • Participation in stable projects with a high technical component • Flexible schedule and work–life balance • Social benefits adapted to your needs Learn more about us at Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or Instagram: @NEORIS.
