Senior Full Stack Web Developer

Remote Full-time
At ASSA ABLOY, our mission is to make securely accessing the things in your life noticeably easier, without being noticeable.

SiteOwl is a B2B SaaS platform that helps organizations design, install, and maintain physical security systems. We are seeking to hire a Sr. Full Stack Developer to support a debt‑free, AI‑ready codebase that runs seamlessly across web, mobile, and backend services. We can stay highly agile and ship improvements quickly. Our roadmap includes a robust pipeline of new capabilities, including AI agents that can assist with designing physical security systems, managing installation projects, and maintaining ongoing system health and compliance.

Our primary users are system integrators and corporate physical security teams. Think of SiteOwl as Google Maps for security infrastructure: designers upload floor plans, place device pins (cameras, card readers, alarms, etc.), and manage device details. Field technicians then use our mobile apps—often in offline environments—to install or update systems based on those designs.

This remote role will be based in Austin, TX or Phoenix, AZ. Domestic travel is required on occasion.

What you will be doing

Build impactful software that shapes how physical security infrastructure is deployed and maintained across hospitals, universities, financial institutions, and Fortune 500 campuses.

Develop new features within SiteOwl’s web and mobile applications using TypeScript, React.js, Material UI, Supabase, and Node.js.

Design and document RESTful APIs consumed by customers and integration partners.

Implement responsive UI components that perform seamlessly across desktop and mobile environments.

Write automated tests and participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality.

Collaborate with product management to define features that deliver real customer value.

Partner with engineering leadership to architect solutions using modern tools, frameworks, and best practices.

Leverage AI‑driven development tools to accelerate feature delivery and enhance our codebase.

Support occasional customer needs, including travel up to 10%.

Handle light physical setup, including lifting up to 50 lbs. for demos or presentations.

Who you are

Knowledgeable — You have deep expertise in modern web development and its ecosystem.

Intellectually Curious — You continuously learn, explore, and refine your craft.

Entrepreneurial — You thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy wearing multiple hats.

A Problem Solver — You think critically and bring solutions, not roadblocks.

Hard‑Working — You’re comfortable tackling challenging deadlines when needed.

Scrappy & Fast — You find creative, efficient ways to move projects forward.

A Strong Communicator — You explain complex concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.

A Team Player — You prioritize team success and operate with integrity.

Accountable — You take ownership and pride in delivering high‑quality work.

Organized & Able to Multi‑Task — You manage time and projects effectively in a fast‑moving environment.
