Senior Front-End Engineer (React/TypeScript) (U.S. Remote - Occasional Office Visits Required)
Overview
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Front-End Engineer with strong experience in building modern, scalable web applications using React and TypeScript. The ideal candidate is proficient in component-driven architecture, GraphQL client integration, state management, and front-end DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
⢠Design, develop, and maintain React applications using TypeScript, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
⢠Build efficient GraphQL operations.
⢠Develop reusable, well-tested UI components and maintain a consistent design system.
⢠Deploy releases and hotfixes to production environments.
⢠Debug issues in production or development environments.
⢠Write unit/integration tests as part of each feature/bug fix.
⢠Collaborate cross-functionally with back-end engineers and product stakeholders to deliver robust and maintainable systems.
⢠Apply front-end best practices for performance, accessibility, security, and code quality.
⢠Participate in code reviews, contribute to engineering standards, and support continuous improvement across the team.
Qualifications
⢠5+ years of professional experience in front-end software development.
⢠Strong proficiency with TypeScript and React.
⢠Experience with GraphQL clients (Apollo Client or equivalent) and consuming API schemas.
⢠Solid understanding of component architecture, state management patterns, and modern React paradigms.
⢠Familiarity with AWS-hosted front-end infrastructure (S3, CloudFront, API Gateway).
⢠Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows.
⢠Able to perform root cause analysis on issues within the application.
⢠Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Knowledge (Nice-to-Have):
⢠Familiarity with AWS CDK or IaC for front-end infrastructure configuration.
⢠Performance optimization techniques (code splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies).
⢠Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA / 508 compliance).
⢠FedRAMP or other certification knowledge.

Compensation:
Base Salary: $100,000 - $140,000
Final compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, experience, and qualifications.
In-Person Interview:
Our hiring process requires one in-person meeting, typically the final interview. Travel and accommodations will be provided.
Remote Work:
Though predominantly remote, infrequent office visits will be required, typically quarterly. All travel costs for these visits will be covered by Unison.
