Senior Front-End Engineer

Senior Front-End Engineer (React)MUST BE BASED IN THE NYC, Austin or Salt Lake City-No RelocationHatch is expanding rapidly, and we’re looking for a Front-End Engineer to help us build and scale our web applications. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with product and engineering teams to deliver seamless, high-performance user experiences. If you have deep React expertise, thrive in fast-paced SaaS environments, and love solving complex UI challenges, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:Develop & Optimize Scalable UIs – Build and maintain high-performance front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and Next.jsComponent Architecture – Design and develop reusable UI components to enhance scalability and maintainabilityState Management – Implement efficient state management solutions using Redux, Recoil, or Context APIAPI Integration – Work closely with backend engineers to integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIsPerformance & Optimization – Ensure fast load times and smooth rendering by optimizing bundle size, lazy loading, and caching strategiesResponsive & Accessible Design – Implement mobile-first, responsive UIs while adhering to WCAG accessibility standardsTesting & Code Quality – Write unit and integration tests using Jest, React Testing Library, or CypressRequired Qualifications:5+ years of front-end development experience in a SaaS or startup environmentExpertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern front-end frameworksStrong experience with CSS-in-JS libraries (Styled Components, Emotion, or Tailwind CSS)Familiarity with Next.js, Webpack, and front-end build toolsExperience with Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologiesStrong understanding of cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and front-end security best practicesPreferred Qualifications:Experience with GraphQL and Apollo ClientFamiliarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) using Next.jsPrior experience working with Figma or similar design tools for UI implementationUnderstanding of backend-for-frontend (BFF) architecturesWhy Join Hatch?Work in a high-growth, sales-led SaaS startup scaling from $17M to $50M+ in revenueBe part of a small but growing engineering team where you’ll have a direct impact on the productHigh ownership, high impact – Your work will shape the user experience for thousands of customersCompetitive compensation and equity in a company preparing for its next major growth phase
