### Responsibilities
In This Role, Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
ย Conducting thorough client consultations to assess needs in estate planning and elder law
ย Drafting and reviewing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
ย Developing personalized estate plans based on individual client circumstances
ย Providing legal guidance on elder law issues including Medicaid planning, long-term care, and guardianship
ย Representing clients in probate and estate administration matters while ensuring compliance with Maryland laws
ย Collaborating with a team of attorneys and support staff to deliver exceptional service
ย Staying informed on updates in Maryland estate planning, elder law, and probate regulations
### Qualifications and Skills
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
ย Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
ย Active membership in the Maryland State Bar Association
ย A minimum of 5 years' experience in an estate planning, probate, or elder law firm
ย Experience in special needs planning and/or Medicaid planning is a plus
ย Comprehensive knowledge of Maryland estate planning, elder law, and probate laws and regulations
ย Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ย Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
ย A client-focused, compassionate approach to legal practice
ย A strong desire to contribute to the growth and success of the firm
