Senior Engineer/Scientist - Statistician
Overview:
Advanced Technologies & Laboratories International, Inc. (ATL) is hiring a Senior Engineer/Scientist ā (statistician- NFR) with a PhD or ScD in statistics and experience with occupational safety & health research, including statistical/coding and database software such as SAS, R, Python, MS SQL or Dataverse.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
ā¢ Provide expert methodological and epidemiological advice on data analysis and serve as the primary data science resource among those individuals provided by the contract.
ā¢ Provide assistance in developing job exposure matrices which takes into account uncertainty from expert assessments.
ā¢ Identifies appropriate analytical methods or statistical programs to address study objectives.
ā¢ Verifies, cleans, edits, and converts data to the proper format, as needed, to ensure that it is suitable for proposed analysis.
ā¢ Provides statistical programming to achieve statistical objectives or required data manipulation
ā¢ Constructs statistical models and graphics, and uses statistical methods/techniques, as needed, to evaluate study hypotheses.
ā¢ Prepares rigorous, statistically sound analyses for manuscripts intended for publication in peer-reviewed journals or CDC publications that rarely require further validation.
ā¢ Manuscript preparation in collaboration with NIOSH scientists.
Minimum Requirements:
ā¢ PhD or ScD
Required Technical/Business Tools Experience
ā¢ MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
ā¢ Communication tools (Teams, SharePoint)
