Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager
About the position
We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager to lead complex MEP and power systems projects in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This hybrid role is ideal for a technical leader who can drive electrical design, manage projects end-to-end, and build strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
• Lead electrical design for commercial, multifamily, and industrial projects (power distribution, lighting, low-voltage)
• Manage full project lifecycle: scope, schedule, budget (P&L), and deliverables
• Perform and review load calculations, one-line diagrams, and specifications
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and Florida Building Code
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and architectural teams for integrated MEP solutions
• Serve as primary client contact, leading meetings and driving project success
• Review submittments, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering and project management (MEP or power systems)
• Strong background in electrical design, power distribution, and building systems
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and project management tools
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and client relationships
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-haves
• PE license preferred (or in progress)
