Within T&S, the Adversarial Abuse and Analytics team plays a critical role in combating adversaries and developing insights to enhance the platform's safety and security. About the Position We are seeking an exceptional leader to fill the role of Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse and Analytics. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of adversarial abuse, including account takeovers, spam, engagement abuse, and more. The successful candidate will lead the Adversarial Abuse team in identifying and mitigating threats and the Business Analytics team in generating insights, measuring uncaught badness, and publishing Transparency Reports for countries worldwide. Key Responsibilities Lead the Adversarial Abuse team in detecting and eliminating adversaries attempting account takeovers, spam, engagement abuse, evading termination, and other malicious activities. Understand, anticipate, and proactively mitigate risks from new, scaling industry trends (e.g., generative AI). Collaborate with the Policy Development team to create policies using account, social, and content signals to describe harmful behavior. Deliver effective and efficient operational performance (e.g., quality, service levels) in a global team working 24×7, and engage, retain, manage, and develop top talent. Manage accelerations with quick turnaround times required to provide data and content-driven insights and implement policies while building relationships with key cross-functional partners to help launch new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/deploying analytical experiences. 2 years of experience working with engineering teams that shape data infrastructure and ML models. 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard weeks of work as accelerations require. Preferred Qualifications Preferred candidates will also have: A postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., analytics, engineering, data science). 2 years of experience with the analysis of large datasets and anomaly detection. Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse activities. Knowledge of SQL/R/Matlab. Exceptional influencing and leadership interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners. Excellent business judgment, strategic and analytical skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action, with the ability to work in a rapidly changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights.
