Senior Digital Artist (3D Modeling)
Our client, a leader in the digital entertainment space, is seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior Digital Artist specializing in 3D modeling for a fully remote position. You will be instrumental in creating stunning visual assets for immersive experiences, pushing the boundaries of artistic innovation. Responsibilities: Create high-quality 3D models, textures, and environments for games, VR/AR applications, or animated projects. Collaborate closely with art directors, game designers, and technical artists to translate concepts and art direction into tangible 3D assets. Optimize 3D models for performance across various platforms and pipelines, ensuring efficient asset delivery. Develop and maintain detailed artistic documentation and style guides. Sculpt, model, and texture organic and hard-surface assets with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Implement and refine shaders, materials, and lighting to achieve desired visual fidelity and artistic style. Participate in art reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve asset quality and team workflow. Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in 3D art creation. Mentor junior artists and share expertise in 3D modeling techniques. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to 3D asset creation and integration. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Digital Art, Game Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a 3D artist in the entertainment or gaming industry. Demonstrated expertise in 3D modeling software such as Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, or Blender. Proficiency in texturing software like Substance Painter, Photoshop, or Quixel. Strong understanding of PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflows. Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity is highly desirable. Excellent artistic fundamentals, including an understanding of form, color, composition, and anatomy. Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of high-quality 3D assets and artistic styles. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
