Senior DevSecOps Engineer
IT Labs is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer for one of our clients in the healthcare industry . In this role, you will lead strategic infrastructure, compliance, and AI-driven initiatives that support secure, efficient, and innovative healthcare technology environments. You’ll take ownership of high-impact projects that enhance security, streamline compliance automation, and drive innovation through AI-powered internal systems. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives working independently, values precision, and enjoys shaping technical excellence across systems and tools. Responsibilities: Take ownership of high-impact, strategic IT and security projects from design to execution. Streamline evidence collection for HITRUST, SOC 2, and HIPAA using compliance automation platforms like Vanta . Re-architect and enforce complex Jira access controls, maintaining the principle of least privilege. Lead technical migrations to Slack Enterprise Grid , implementing advanced security and compliance features. Design, build, and deploy internal AI-powered knowledge management systems using AWS AI tools (Amazon Q Business, Bedrock, Kendra) or similar platforms. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment of IT, security, and engineering initiatives. Maintain thorough documentation, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and uphold security best practices Requirements 7+ years of experience in senior-level IT, DevOps, Engineering, or Security roles. Strong ability to work independently with clear deliverables and minimal supervision. Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills. Deep expertise with compliance automation platforms (preferably Vanta ) for system integration and control automation. Expert-level Jira administration experience, particularly in re-architecting access and permission frameworks. Proven experience leading Slack Enterprise Grid migrations , with implementation of security and compliance features. Interest or experience in AI tools for knowledge management and automation. US Citizenship is required for this position. Nice to Have: Google Workspace administration and security experience. Zscaler configuration and administration. Microsoft Azure Security design and hardening.
