About the RoleWe’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team at HeliosAs a hands-on leader, you’ll work closely with engineering, product, and security teams to drive DevOps best practices and support a collaborative, high-growth environment. This role reports directly to the Head of Engineering.What You’ll DoDesign, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure across our global SaaS platformLead and mentor a small DevOps team, supporting their technical growth and ensuring team-wide alignment with engineering goalsBuild scalable systems using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)Ensure system reliability, performance, monitoring, and alerting in production environmentsChampion security and compliance in deployment pipelines and infrastructureWork cross-functionally with engineering, product, and compliance teams to support agile development and fast-paced releasesManage incident response and root cause analysis to improve system healthOptimize cost and resource usage across cloud servicesWhat You'll Bring7+ years of hands-on DevOps/SRE experience, with 2+ years in a senior or leadership capacityExperience building and maintaining enterprise-grade, cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similarFamiliarity with HR or FinTech platforms is highly preferredStartup experience or a strong understanding of the fast-paced demands of early-stage companiesSolid grasp of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, etc.)Excellent communication and collaboration skills—comfortable working across teamsNice to HaveExperience with global compliance, data privacy, or payroll systemsExposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or other compliance frameworksOriginally posted on Himalayas
