Senior Developer / Associate Developer

CalPERS, the nation’s largest public pension fund, is seeking a Senior Developer / Associate Developer to support the development and operation of its Investment line-of-business and enterprise systems. This role involves translating business needs into technical solutions within a fast-paced environment, collaborating with various teams to enhance investment management systems. Responsibilities Support the development and operation of CalPERS Investment line-of-business and enterprise systems Translate business needs into solutions Work with the Investment Office and Information Technology Services Branch (ITSB) teams Skills Experience supporting investment management systems, or alternative experience that would enable success in this position Development experience with C# in Microsoft .Net, including at least one example detailing project scope, scale, team size, and personal participation Experience in additional technical roles supporting ongoing operation of production business applications, such as installing/upgrading/patching commercial-off-the-shelf software, troubleshooting custom business application outages, experience with enterprise monitoring tools, database administration, user management, etc All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed on the Classification Specification must be included in the application package If using education to meet MQs, transcripts must be included with the application package If the degree is from outside of the United States, an evaluation of the degree to determine US equivalency must be submitted Resume is optional.
