Senior Data Scientist / Data Engineer

This is a remote position.
We are looking for a senior Data Scientist / Data Engineer to join a global pharmaceutical client and help build scalable, reliable, and high-performing data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, and advanced data science initiatives.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows
ā¢ Build and optimize data models for analytics and reporting
ā¢ Implement automation for data pipelines using CI/CD practices
ā¢ Monitor data jobs and troubleshoot failures or performance issues
ā¢ Support data consumption for:
ā¢ BI dashboards and reporting tools
ā¢ Data science and advanced analytics teams
ā¢ APIs and custom business applications
ā¢ Work with structured and semi-structured datasets (CSV, JSON, Parquet, etc.)
ā¢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions
Requirements
ā¢ Strong experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT design, and data modeling
ā¢ Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and analysis
ā¢ Strong programming experience with:
ā¢ Python (mandatory)
ā¢ SQL (mandatory)
ā¢ Java or Scala is a plus
ā¢ Experience with data lakes and data warehouses
ā¢ Strong understanding of performance optimization and scalable data architecture
ā¢ Experience with cloud-based or enterprise-scale data environments
ā¢ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
ā¢ Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare environments
ā¢ Experience with modern orchestration or automation frameworks
ā¢ Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices
